Brooklyn has always pushed the creative boundaries, and at St. Agrestis we're no different. We believe the only way to ensure the highest degree of quality is to create it. Producing hand-made non-alcoholic beverages using old world methods, St. Agrestis is for the modern drinker. The Founder's Note

St. Agrestis was founded by brothers Louis and Matt Catizone, sons of an Italian immigrant father and a first-generation Italian-American mother from Brooklyn, who partnered with industry veteran Steven DeAngelo to establish the company. Their concept grew out of Nonnina's table and a shared passion for Italian beverage and food culture, including early exposure to amaro at family dinners.

How It's Made

Everything happens within the walls of the brand's Greenpoint, Brooklyn distillery, from product development and production to bottling. For its Phony line of non-alcoholic cocktails, St. Agrestis says its process is built to maintain the flavors, aromas, color and mouthfeel of a proper cocktail from the ground up, rather than by dealcoholizing an existing alcoholic recipe.

Tasting Notes

Bittersweet with a firm backbone: notes of Tuscan juniper, southern Italian citrus, piney gin-like character, and layered herbaceous and floral notes reminiscent of a classic alcoholic Negroni. Light carbonation adds texture and a bite standing in for alcohol, for a silky, proper finish. Key botanicals include juniper, citrus peel and gentian root.
