Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information DiscoCraft collects when you use our website and platform (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to Bars, Brands, Individuals, and anyone browsing the Service.

Account information: name, email address, role (Bar, Brand, or individual), and password (stored by our authentication provider, never in plain text by us).

Bar business information: if you create a Bar profile or submit a request, we collect business/DBA name, liquor license number, seller’s permit number, business address, delivery preferences, and accounts-payable contact information. This information exists to identify your business as a real, licensed operator to the Brands you contact — it is not used for any purpose unrelated to that.

Brand business information: if you create a Brand profile, we collect business name, story, product catalog details, images, and contact information you choose to publish.

Individual account information: if you create an Individual account, we collect your state and, optionally, a phone number, so a Brand you request a product from can identify where you’re located and how to reach you. We also collect your date of birth at sign-up, used only to verify you meet the legal drinking age.

Usage information: pages viewed, searches performed, and requests submitted, collected to operate and improve the Service (e.g., understanding which products bars are searching for but can’t find).

We use the information above to: operate the Service and your account; connect Bars and Brands and route requests between them; send account, request-status, and other transactional communications; moderate accounts and listings; and improve the Service. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

When a Bar or Individual submits a request for a product, their business or contact information is shared with the relevant Brand so they can respond — that is the core function of the Service. A Brand’s public profile and catalog information is, by design, visible to anyone browsing the Service.

We also share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting, database, image storage, authentication, and analytics providers), bound by obligations to protect it, and where required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DiscoCraft or others.

We do not sell personal information.

We retain account and request information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

You can review and update your profile information directly in your dashboard. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to request access to, deletion of, or correction of their personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (DiscoCraft does not sell personal information). We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember that you’ve confirmed you’re of legal drinking age, so you’re not asked on every visit. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

With your consent, given via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, we also use PostHog to collect analytics (pages viewed, searches performed, and similar usage events) so we can understand how the Service is used and improve it. Analytics is opt-in: declining means this data is never collected for you. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies and revisiting the site.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on business-sensitive data such as license numbers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is intended only for adults 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
