Bedford Park is an independent bottler, not a distillery in the traditional sense: they source single casks of rum and whisky from distilleries around the world and bottle them under their own label, at cask strength, non-chill filtered, with no additives or added colour. Every release carries a label commissioned from a different artist, since the brand sees a direct connection between the craft of selecting and finishing a cask and the craft of the art on its bottle. Their stated philosophy: 'quality, unadulterated and unencumbered, is paramount,' which is why every bottling ships at the cask's natural strength rather than cut down for consistency.

Bedford Park selects individual casks from distilleries internationally (this import covers releases from Jamaica, Guyana, and an undisclosed Kentucky distillery) and has them matured and bottled in Scotland by North Coast Distillers Limited, based at Murkle House, Forss, Thurso. Every release is a single cask, non-chill filtered, naturally coloured only (no added colour), and bottled at full cask strength rather than diluted to a standard proof.
Tasting Notes
The bottler describes this as a high-ester Réunion rum; tasters who sampled it gave a wide range of impressions but agreed it was outstanding from nose to palate to finish.
