Inspired by their brewery friends, this whiskey blurs the lines: corn offers classic bourbon nutty sweetness while roasted malts craft a coffee, chocolate stout profile. Aged in new American Oak barrels then finished in used stout beer barrels from Lagunitas Brewery. Mash bill: 55% corn, 35% rye, 10% roasted barley.

How It's Made

Griffo special-ordered its custom copper still, nicknamed Betty, from Vendome Copper & Brass in Kentucky, adding several extra ports so the distillery could capture more data throughout the distillation process for next-level quality and precision.

Tasting Notes

A rich, almost decadent pour with notes of fresh fig, caramel, coffee bean and chocolate, and a long, evolving finish that ends in espresso and chocolate with a hint of tobacco.
