Our Story
At Roaming Road, we go where the spirit takes us. Quality and curation act as Mike's compass as he seeks rare and remarkable single cask spirits. Roaming Road showcases unique, premium, barrel-aged spirits with a distinct point of view: Single Cask Rums, Armagnacs, Cognacs, and Grain Spirits, or whatever else is interesting in the world of aged spirits, with no geographical boundaries in the quest. By nature, every offering from Roaming Road is 250 bottles or fewer. Each offering is a completely one-of-a-kind spirit bottled from a singular cask. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.
The Founders
Roaming Road Spirits grew from Mike Gilmore's long-standing pursuit of distinctive single-cask spirits and the relationships behind them. Over 18 years exploring distilleries, he built relationships, trust, and a shared passion along the way, developing a curatorial approach centered on provenance, trust, and individuality. Early private barrel selections in Kentucky helped shape a belief that great spirits reward curiosity. He founded Roaming Road to make sure these unique finds don't get lost in a major producer's blend.
How We Make It
Roaming Road is an independent single-cask bottler, not a distillery itself. Mike sources individual casks directly from distilleries and producers around the world, then bottles each cask as-is with no blending, at 250 bottles or fewer per release.
